CASE STUDY SM SLIMLINE 950-ST DOUBLE SACKTIP STATION

Recycling Separation & screening for road tanker

Requirement:
Contract packing company needed to ensure that a substandard powder product (many thousands of tons) could be reused by removing any unwanted lumps and compacted pieces. Needed to sack tip at a very fast rate and fill a road tanker as quickly as possible.

Operation:
Fed from sacks by a minimum of two operators. Discharge into road tanker’s three inlet manways.

Solution:
Provided a double (two man) sack tipping station utilising a Sievmaster 950-ST Slimline machine, with feed elbow air entrainment valve and aeration, vacuum transfer hopper loader mounted upon a mobile frame fitted to a special rail system to allow positioning over the inlets to the road tanker. Hopper loader fitted with level sensor and control system for system.
Sack tip was constantly fed by two men discharging sacks of product until the compartment in the tanker was filled. Hopper loaded manually moved to next loading port and filling commenced again. Powder was passed through a final magnetic separator to ensure a fully quality controlled product.

Result:
Company reclaimed all their product, returning it back into useable material. System operated so quickly two men were unable to maintain the maximum throughput available.
