More efficient processing of confectionery

Requirement:
Client obtained contract to supply various sized pieces of ‘honeycomb’ product for confectionery and ice cream manufacture. Require to break down blocks of ‘honeycomb’ and separate into five grades.

Operation:
Lifted and tipped directly from Eurobin type containers. Fed directly into grading separator below and then into small containers.

Solution:
Supplied a Sievmaster Rota 200 sieving machine mounted upon a stainless steel frame. A lift and tip unit to elevate a 200 litre eurobin of product into the bulk hopper/vibratory feed arrangement at the inlet to the Rota 200. The Rota 200 was used to break down the ‘honeycomb’ into various random pieces. With the fines/product discharge being dropped into a Sievmaster Multiscreen 1200 sieve located at floor level. The Sievmaster Multiscreen machine dividing the product into large to fine factions each being collected within plastic containers. System supplied with full control and safety system.

Result:
Client was able to satisfy the requirement with a standalone system without the need to obtain equipment from various suppliers. The customer was able to make use of each size of final product for different clients, even making use of product that was previously thrown away.
